distilled water has no nutrients at all. Public water supplies will usualy be loaded with phosphates, minerals, and other micro nutrients. If you are using very pure water you might need to add trace nutrients.
thanks,
how much water/how moist should i be getting the soil? should there be water draining out of the bottom after i water? my clones are about a week old i would say
MJ plants enjoy DRY dirt just as much as moist. Do not keep your dirt moist, let it get really really dry before watering. A good watering schedule is about twice a week for a normal plant in soil.

I used to use spring water - they loved it. I then tried rainwater - again they loved it. Nowadays I just use tapwater (MUCH easier than spending hours with bloody coffee filters and funnels imo) and GUESS WHAT...
Thats totally completely 100% true if your only growing outside, but then again would you water every day if it rains for 3 weeks straight? I suppose my advice is directed at someone who is growing indoors and has some control over the environment.
