What kind of light is this?

Hey, I found this in my basement the other day and I thought it might be a metal halide light. It looks pretty old, but on the ballast it says 250w, and on the bulb it is 120v. Any ideas?

i wouldnt use it if you paid me to be honest. dont trust that stuff, go and buy urself a new one... just save up a couple days without fast food or something

That is an old school tungsten filament light. The 250w is the max rated load the socket can handle before bursting into flames.

IE this is a normal incandescent lightbulb. Ignore it.

Looks pretty knarly though... I know how it feels to come up on free stuff that helps you save some money for your grow.

My roomate was cleaning out his gf's garage and he found us a 400W MH!

I also helped clean out a garage and found a CO2 tank with regulator and solenoid... It was meant to be

Good luck getting that light.
