Would any one agree with Echlectica on doubling the nutrients?
Correct me if my ideas are wrong, I was thinking of slowly increasing ppm by 200 each week, so then by 4th week of vegetation it would reach around 1000ppm,
if I double it now that would exceed 500ppm...If experts agree with ech then I will take this route.
By the way I am using Sensi Grow Part A Part B, with Cal Mag.
Thx for the support.
Well do what you want but. personally I start my seedlings at 650ppm. I grow from seed almost every time. Yes I have a lot of good seeds. In fact right now I have 7 SensiStars,10 urkles, 3 pot o golds and 2 durban poisons all from seed all about a week old all in the same RDWC system at 650ppm.
I personally think 90% of the problems that people have in hydro are because they are scared to use nutrients and don't know how to calibrate their test meters. I've been growing for 25 years and I've seens a lot of sick plants, your plants look under fed. Don't expect them to show visible signs of new growth that fast. They have to come back from the whole you've put them in. Just my opinion.
wouldn't listen to this guy ^^
of course flushing washes away the nutrients when they are unbalanced or over-abundant, that's why you start feeding right after that. Flushing IS the answer to almost every root-derived problem there is. In this case it may not be necessary, since the damage is most likely from suffocated roots, but i'd still do it just in case. It certainly does not make things worse. Also, you should use a root accelartor and better yet some rhizotonic or other seaweed agent to relieve stress.
the roots are obviously in bad shape after being in under-oxygenated water, why do you think they need more food?? stressed plants need and can handle LESS food.
More oxygen, thats what i thought too. Bigger pump or another pump or something to get them more o2
all the pumps in the world won't help with res temps above 75. 75 is high.
