well about a week ago i was giving it about a cup every day for 3 days then the bottom leaves started to droop so i stopped. then 5 days without water and the droop had gotten much worse so two days ago i gave it water and it seemed to get better, yesterday i didnt water it.

i doubt this would help but when i was reading up on tying plants that you should not use bare wire or paper clips i use plastic coated electrical wires for mine but i didnt read anything stating that it would affect your plant.i doubt this is your problem.
I think you are not watering your plant properly...when you do water try giving her a good bath, enough so that water comes out the bottom of the pot...try reducing frequency. Water her good then, wait a few days...get to know your plant, as she grows she may require more frequent baths, keep this is mind.

Thanks a lot guys, it makes sense to not use the bare wire ive seen a couple times where the leaves have been cut because of the wire but nothing too big. I'm gonna try a different way of watering cause that seems like it could be the problem since my patterns of watering are pretty inconsistant

Damn you overwatered it then underwatered it. Just grow the plant man. Stick you finger deep in the dirt if it's moist that's perfect. If it's soaked or soggy that's too much water and if its dry that's too little. Good thing for you we can buy vegetables and fruit at the grocery store.
