What is this white stuff that formed where I broke my stem?

Hey guys, I broke a branch on my plant a couple weeks ago, so taped it up with a toothpick as support.. I opened it up today and noticed this stuff that formed where it was cracked. It looks almost like hot glue, and it feels hard.. Just wondering what this is and if it's normal, thanks!

Totally normal, i had to tape a branch too, and when I opened it, it was nasty whitish light green too,

As light penetrates it now it will get better in the next few days.

I've never seen it hard tho I break branches all the Time for training and l stuff seen the white goo a lot but I've never seen it get hard?#&!?

When I cut my plants down and ditch the pots outside to dry out the medium for reuse I see white deposits forming at the severed stems, sometimes even dripping down. Presumably the plant is continuing to uptake moisture at the roots and this is likely fertilizer salts and water coming out of the stem.

Probably happening to you here too, and if so its nothing but good feeding going on!

is that was that is?? can it come through the leaves when they transpire?? seen a tiny white blob on a leaf that was being overlapped and was moist.. thought it coulda been the start of powdery mildew(that wasnt powdery cos of the water on the leaf lol).. never seen that before.

Could well be dew from transpiration, especially if overlapping. Do try and eliminate possibility of 'guttation' though - too much water at the root zone can create high moisture pressure in the plant and it exudes from leaves in droplets, which can dry and leave salty deposits. Happens at night when the stomata are closed.

thats good stuff to know.. and about the flushing, i usually water til ample runoff every watering.. this run not so much.. after i seen “the blob” gave the girls an h202 spray down.. and checked runoff ppm, which was high(its now back down).. so im glad thats what it probably was.
