What is this stuff?!

Hello,

I went to a hydrophonic store and asked for dolomite lime. They were unfortunately all out, and said they have calcium. Isn't dolomite lime calcium anyways? I was looking for the powdered type I'm use too... But the guy said it's better, and you add one tbsp/gal of median. So I'm wondering what is this stuff and if I got ripped off (paid $15.00) for that bag.

It's likely limestone or poultry/oyster shell , if this is the case it will work alot slower

Their is a form of dolomite lime without the magnisum , but it's usually powdered or in prills

go back and return the 12 cents worth of oyster shells, an' tell'em you want your money back. don't buy anything you can get in a garden center, at the grow shop.
