This bud almost looks like it's forming a seed but idk if it's just what further growth of the bud looks like or what this is and I'm worried. I'm afraid it has possibly hermied somehow but I'm not sure... it's not banana shaped and not yellow. It's the same color as the stem, a bit whiter. I notice this on only the very top of some of the buds in there, and only on this plant.

This strain is misty, I only have 3 plants and they are in the 4th week of flower. Anybody know if I should worry about this? It looks so much like a seed to me, but idk how that could happen. They are all obviously female.

Is it just a really swollen calyx? I'm noticing multiple buds on this plant that have the exact same type of thing happening right on the very tip of the bud. (I have 3 separate strains - the other two look normal and seem to be doing quite well.)
I feel like if it were hermied the seeds would not be forming in the exact same spot. Maybe the buds are just really beginning to swell and the strain naturally starts getting really swollen calyxes from the very tip top of the bud down?
I've looked the thing all over and see no bananas. Here's the whole plant:

None of the herms I've seen were on the tips. When I look for them I position the plant so I can look up and see the underside. They almost always show up at the bottom of female flowers.
I would wait and see if they turn yellow.

I plucked off one of the seed looking things. I've read that if it is indeed a seed, there should be a hard white chunk within it growing, so imma disect this.

Also, anybody have more info on this idea? The "seed pods" or whatever they are are in the EXACT same spot on all the buds they appear on... right on the top. It seems strange that would happen

Nothing but stipules and liquid inside it. In fact, some of the other "seed pod" like ends on the buds have white hairs growing out of them. I plucked the one pictured above off and compared it to the one with white hairs. Here it is. Still think it's a hermie?

I'm pretty sure its a swollen calyx. It won't hurt anything if you wait & see if it turns yellow. If it's male, it won't open until AFTER it changes color.

Thank you chunky stool. Anybody else want to chime in on that? Cuz I really truly see NO evidence of yellow male flowers ANYWHERE and I don't see how there could possibly be seeds forming... I've now sliced off three and all just squished in between my finger - they are just full of some (quite good smelling) water and I also see stipules inside there with my microscope

I've got a plant that is almost ripe. I need to start checking her daily for yellow spots (males flowers). I've also got sativas in there that wont be ready for at least six more weeks.
Note to self: growing indica & sativa in the same tent is a pain...

That top one still looks like a pollen sack.
So even if they are pollen sacks and I keep watching... there is no way they can pollinate my other plants until they yellow and open, correct? I'd really like to not fuck everything up in the last half of flowering here I've spent a lot of money on this and am REALLY looking forward to my own homegrown bud!

Also note that when I opened that "pollen sack" on top, there were female stipules in there. Would a hermie contain the female stipules in it?
