What is this brwon voodo magic?

Hey phellow phriends....not to keen in the grow, 2nd time in my life. But i live in NY and its been some shitty weather. Everything looks great but i have some flaws.
1- lower nodes/pistons are turning brown in VEG. A while back they had hairs comming out, just one to each sack. : is it mold? Or re veg. They have been out side since may 1st,
2 the main branch system looks like it has a "bark"
Is this using to much energy?, a friend said bark isnt good

The bark is normal, but the mold is definitely a problem. Do you have anyway to keep them dryer when its raining? Or to get them dried off a little faster after the rain? maybe move them to a really sunny spot after it rains

So its definetly mold??? Thats not good. What should i do? I have them in direct sun in buckets. Do yiu think its from over watering??

well i cant say 100% its mold, but that very last pic most definitely looks to be mold. Also ive seen the black mold looking stuff on stems of plants that were revegging. The cause would be a real high humidity most of the time and i guess possibly from being wet all the time from getting watered too much. Im no expert by any means so just make sure you identify exactly what it is before taking any measures to fix it.

Thanks for you input though, thank you.
I water two times a week and a wet feed once a week. I have 5g buckets with some self made holes. If its mold what should i do? Ive seen something about baking soda. I really dont want to chop em down WTF

And i dont get the watering method of feeling the top soil, to see if its dry. Wouldnt it dry from the top first??? Leaving the bottom still wet

Wet feed as in foliar feeding the leaves? If so, how long does it stay wet? yeah it does dry a little faster on top, but im thinkin if the soil drains good and the roots are nice and healthy they drink most of the water from the bottom also which allows the o2 back in. Lowering humidity is one of the best things i would think, if thats possible.

Edit. I am a noob tho
