What is the legal defininition street value of cannabis? (UK)

Whenever you see cannabis cases in court the street value of the weed gets mentioned. Yet when you search the home office and CPS it is impossible (for me at least) to find the figure they use to work this out. Does anyone know what the SOCA street value is for cannabis? I suppose it could be worked out from a few cases where the weight was given and a street value.

i know a person who got arrested in a 150 plant grow who never got jail, yet somebody else got caught with 9oz and a grand got 6 months, both had no priors.

this is because they had built a case against the guy who was selling 20 bags of weed, they had spent money watching him and interviewing other people so had to get a conviction to justify the wasted tax payers money. he also pleaded not-guilty the silly sod.

now the guy in the 150 plant grow, was unfortunate to have left a window open in the house whilst working, 2 plod walking past catch a whiff and what do you know, as he comes out the house they are on the doorstep waiting. red handed as it gets he was nicked then and there, got fined, community hours and a suspended sentence. not as much money wasted on a taxpayer funded court hearing when he pleaded guilty.

how can this be justice?

Good to know the inadequacies of judicial systems aren't just limited to the states...
Justice, pffftt.
 
I saw a case recently where a medical grower who was compliant with laws and had under 30 plants, got raided by law enforcement and they said he had over $250,000 of product.

Now even the biggest plants would have a hard time getting that much on an indoor grow. Thats almost 2lbs per plant for the price to be close to 250,000. And thats not even considering only half of the total number of plants were in flower, in an indoor grow, with only a little more than a thousand or 2 watts.

So after he was acquitted because he had all the documentation, he asked for his supplies, lights, and plants back. Well needless to say the plants died in the evidence room and now he is suing the law enforcement department for $250,000.

I think he actually settled not too long ago for $175,000~ dont quote me haha


Either way score one for the smokers, still 0 for the over estimating police/media.
 
From what I understand about a plant in the UK they assume it will yield 40g.

Good job when I got busted they didn't know I'm pulling almost 4x that amount. Lol.

I think they measure it at £10 per gram.

i think it depends all on your location and most importantly weather or not you are selling....

When i was raided it was by CID, i live in a major city were weed is extremley common, and was being arrested for 3 offences non weed related. i had over a kilo of bud.

i never heard anything about the bud.

CID did however keep asking me were all the money was hidden!!!
 
She knew her stuff - £16,500 from 6 plants!!!

(and then sold herself down the river by admitting supply - nothing wrong with looking ridiculous in front of police, let them prove you're lying)
