What is that..?? Do i cut it?

I noticed something on my baby today.. it is located on her stem it is black and it appears to be affecting it bad. it seems like its broken even.. i noticed the top leaves began curling up then i examined it some more and found it.. i know the pics are blurry but thats the best i got.. so do i cut it?

Looks like you either cut it and a pathogen got in, or a burrowing bug got in, but that's just a guess. Did you do anything that could have done this?
