What is super cropping?

also called high-stress training. crushing and bending of stem to reveal side nodes to light. it creates many main colas

i have just gave this a go, on one of my girls i took a fan leaf stem and about half way down the branch i bent and squeezed it until it bent down, it leaked a little white fluid just under the fold, i was gentle as i could be and stopped when it gave a little crunch like feeling...

is this correct or did i go too far and have broken the branch beyond repair??

sounds ok, pinch lightly whith nails then bend. they heal strong. there are tons of vids on it on utube.

one thng i don't get from the video posted, Can i super crop on a plant that only has 1 main stalk going straight up or do i need to LST first to creat alternate growth

Wanted to ask someone that has super cropped in the past. I just super cropped one of my plants for the 1st time at about the 4th true node and now the main cola has turned upwards growing towards the light, what have you done in the past after that point, and what yielded the best results? Should I top it of FIM it, or let it grow out a bit more then super crop just below the main cola? Just interested in what others felt gave them the best result in the end.
