That sounds nice but it isn't true. If you were to try to grow a plant indoors in soil with no nutes it simply would die, there isn't nearly enough nutes in potting soil to allow the plant to grow to flowering. Not to mention the plant eats up a ton of calcium and magnesium.the soil is in a state of decomposition the plant is taking everything it needs from the soil the mistake we make is forgetting the soil has a NPK value even before we fertilize
What about flowering?
