OJ is gonna drop your pH!!! Even tho pH isn't that critical in soil under normal conditions, you go adding an acid and you fuck yourself. You have got to be thinking of orange PEEL. Even those must be composted to be useful to plants. Composting is just a polite way of saying a controlled rot. Organic material must be broken down (rotted) to it's constituent components to be any use to plants. This happens as the result of bacterial and fungal action. You can't add orange peel or banana peel to an existing plant and expect immediate results. Research composting before you do anything to your plants.
Kelp extract has been made useful and will help you in the immediate. As will Bone Meal, just much slower. I applaud your interest in organics, but you need to do a bit of research and reading on the subject
