What happens when one harvests too early?

Idk I'm a noob sorry. but there's so many posts about harvesting too early but how does the effect of the THC affect the high that one gets when one harvests too early. And I mean early as in like a week to two weeks too early. Is there even a high at all?
 
i sometimes like to harvest mine just a bit early. i'm a lightweight and i prefer the type of high i get from earlier harvested plants.

this was discovered after a couple of emergency harvests last year. was too busy harvesting outdoor to keep up with the indoor, and the indoor went to shit. harvested early to salvage what i could, enjoyed the high a little better. i discovered that a lot of the white hairs will turn orange during drying/curing.

And you never would have figured this out if you asked listened to idiots on the internet, most of whom have probably never seen a weed plant in their life.

wow awesome. I think I might try a slightly early harvest for one of my plants and see how that goes. Seeing how it doesn't really hurt too much since it's for personal use anyways :D

And that... is both the genius AND beauty of Marijiana! Hundreds of strains, phenos, add in different harvesting times and you end up with the only natural drug that can be so much, to so many, in so many different ways! :)
 
Let it go longer, you will use LESS medicine as some strains will be a one hit and quit medicine where before harvesting early it would be 1/4 oz and quit medicine. See the benefit here?! Maybe not...
 
If you need bud early just chop one branch at a time as you need it and let the plant finish.. every day you chop early is a day less that your plant could grow and make resin

That is a great idea because you will get bud in the immediate future but also you will learn how it will affect your yield and potency in the long run.
