what first strain do you recommend?

white widow... my first hydroponics grow and she is BEAUTIFUL! 
...shes the biggest one in back left... not the one in soil.. the other two in hydro are GDP and Recon.. having trouble with but doing ok.. white widow is doing great..
deff recommend!

Beautiful plants! There's something round on the lower plant. Something I can't identify. What is it?

Regarding strains, I suggest you look at Mandala's Beyond the Brain, Eight Miles High and Mandala #1.
All these are easy and interesting for usual reasons, plus mold and pest resistant, among other things.
I'm assuming you're talking indoor?
If you want an auto, check out a strain called Santa. You could be near harvest by Christmas.

I definitely agree with this. I grew some NL #5 and what little smell there was had a pine scent. Great smoke too.
