the very tips of my leaves are yellow..the plant is growing fine but this seems to have happened suddenly...is it because the soil is to alkaline because i noticed the ph shoot up out of nowhere to like 7.4 from 6.8 overnight

yeah 7.4 is way too high in any medium and at any stage of the lifecycle.

Could be a sign of nute-burn because of excess nitrogen (which can be absorbed between pH 6.0 and 8.0) and a block of other essential nutrients.

Just a guess.

this is my first grow btw there like 2 months old. cant seem to get em to grow faster

the third pic is from a week ago

dude those are TINY for 2 months. And i'm not trying to hate but something's obviously wrong.

you can use cider vinegar or lemon concentrate to bring down the pH when watering/feeding.

well its a closet lined with tin foil...2x 23 watt spiral cfls, 1x 26 watt spiral cfl. about its gets about 75-80 degrees with the lights on maybe a lil cooler with the fan in there on a different level bouncing off the door when its closed. i cool it off to like 55-60 when the lights go off simulating dusk. here are some pics of my grow space

Tin foil can leave hot spots on your leaves. And you need some more cfl's.. thats why there growing so slow. You see the pic i have next to my name 4 gold colored 40 watt cfl's and 4 bright white 27 watt cfls just for that one plant.

Don't worry about the tinfoil, it reflects just fine. I have never seen anyone's plant burn from a 'hot spot' caused by a cfl and tinfoil...lol

nute burn or lockup plus u might wanna move lights lower or raise the plant a bit higher cuz it looks like its stretching, unless thats your plan to get a taller sativa like plant for some various reason or other
