What Does He Want

Smoked some Jack Herer with my Son once again he said he wasn't impressed.

Me I was already buzzing a little but I smoked it and was buzzed for several hours.

Must be Old Man thing.

We have some Jack curing now, can't wait. We had 3 different phenos, 1 being pretty trash, the other 2 should be decent with 1 being really nice.

jack herer is the most boring, bland strain ive ever smoked. its one of those 4 or 5 strains that anyone can list off. I really do not see why so many people think this strain is worth anything. i blame the cannabible.

It makes anything crossed to it taste like that too, I agree it’s not great

I grew some Jack Herer Auto (CK) and wasn't all that impressed by the taste or smell either. Was a good high to me though. The Lambs Breath I grew with it was way better on all counts. Glad this thread was made because some of the opinions corelate closely with my own experience.

HMM! I liked the taste but I was already buzzed.

Going to try and get some Triks seed Auto.

Kid is wanting some Autos for variety.

That jack herer is bad is one of the worst weed take i have ever heard lol. Your son is likely either used to only smoking indica hybrids or or dabbing. Either one will make sativa a feel weaker if you aren’t used to them. All the newer younger person weed is the same bland hybrid high. If you are growing autos they are trash so that is the issue.

Autos are fine lol. Depending on breeder and strain/pheno type. The Jack Auto I grew was fine, but I wasn't personally crazy about the taste. I found it a bit too piney tasting for my liking.

That Jack cut Cannarado used in his crosses years back was fire, think it was the 20k Jack cut. I ran the Durban Poison x Jack & it was great & super terped out. Glad I still have most of the pack left to pop

Sounds like you guys got some weak Jack Herer. I got some from a dispensary once and it was almost too strong at first and I smoke everyday. But after a few sessions I adapted and it became my favorite until it was gone. Was definitely a sativa high.

I had a nice Jack but that I grew for a couple of cycles, but the Bay Area J1 cut (Jack x Haze) definitely had it beat. Jack Herer can be great weed, depending on the pheno, but it's definitely nothing like most modern varieties. XJ-13 (Jack x G13) is another great cut.

The one I did was my first grow with a small, subpar LED for 2 plants. Now that I have a few grows under my belt and better lighting, I'm going to have to get another one going. My problem is I just like trying new strains every grow cycle, which is only once a year and a couple of plants.

Autos don't count,

Press some of that jack into some jizz (rosin) & he’ll bust a lung or two.

OK he said it was too strong taste but got a good buzz. Woman we was sharing with said it was OK but.

Thing with Jack is it needs to be from the right line and the right pheno get that right and its some nice weed my friends dad had a cut for years that was amazing but thats from old stock Its a strain that grew on me too we used to get it regular i didnt miss it till it was gone pretty much now no jack ive tried since has came close that cut can hold its own with anything imo and it aint a old man thing aint the best weed on the planet but it can be very good

You and ur son! Haha gotta love the father son growing bond not gonna lie! But yous are gonna have to agree on something eventually! What is his experience with growing/smoking? Would you say he’s more experienced than you?

jack herer Is infamous in the U.K. and with good reason, the genetics kicking about in the early noughties were decent, never had anything like that for years though as @conor c said.

have you any criteria when it comes to what kind of smoke would please both of yous? It’s worth noting that unless you’re buying heavily worked lines then you’re allways gonna have variation between good and bad, so then if ur only popping a couple seeds from each pack then you’re not giving urself much chance of finding something exemplary.

do you have access to clones? Thinking it might be a good shout cos u cud go to ur local dispo and probs try the weed you’re gonna grow

This Jack Herer is an Auto got seed from ILGM same with Wedding Cake he didn't care for.

Got someone else I can get seed from that I feel will be better.
