hi everyone want your opinions.

attachments show the plant at 1 week old and onwards, with LST ongoing. plant recieves as much natural sunlight as possible and then topped up with a 20w 2700k CFL in a 19-15-15 inch cab.

im wanting to know rougly its satvia.indica mix. how long i should leave before topping and forcing side shooting.

can i leave her in the 8inch pot all the way too harvest, im kinda skint for cash, i mean realy skint.

cab: 1x 20w 1200 lumen (2700k) CFL @ 83.1f with lights on and 76.1f lights off. watering maybe once too twice a week. no feeding at mo. fert is MG 0.2-0.2-0.2 and one cap full too a 8-9 inch pot ( liquid feed)

so what do you guys think ?

wait at least 4 weeks to top.
You really should put it in the biggest pot you have or can get A 5 gallon bucket with drain holes and some gravel and sand on the bottom is great

yeah im worried about size restrictions i cant afford too let her go wild on me. i started the LST soon after the first pic.

im stuck for soil and tubs. all i have is this 8inch pot and no cash. i gotta cut on spending too stay alive and in food/ roof over my head. so im kinda stuck with the slowly fading sempember sun a 8ich pot and 1 20w CFL
any idea on strain type. too me it looks a strong indica without much crossing done ? would i be correct here. been told its a cross kush or could be white russian or something. personaly its ditch weed too me.

this is kinda growing on a super tight budget :(

You will be alright in that size pot. so long as you keep the plant happy. (Don't make the roots search for what they want). And dont veg for too long and let the plant get too big. I grew a 40 inch tall plant in that size pot w/ no probs.
I think the problem you are going to have will be lighting during flowering. One 20W CFL is NOT going to be enough to flower. Try to get a 42 watt CFL by flowering time and if the plant is small that might be enough.
Good luck. Happy growing!!

thank you guys

i feel proud of what i have grown. most of my plants are realy spindly and thin this one has some body too it.

lighting im not sure with i do have some aquarium ballasts, but cant fit a 24 inch tube into cab (18w) i can fit two 12 inch tubes into cab but everyone keeps saying they are no good they are for fish. but in my years of being an aquarist i have grown plenty of plants in my water but cant understand why aquarium lights wouldnt be helpful too soil based plants.

im trying too find another bayonet fiting so i can add another 20w cfl that would work out at 40w x2 @1200 lumens each. i looked everywhere for higher watCFL's but sadly they stop around 20w in uk :(

how long before i should start flowering/topping i was going too give plant untill monday it would be showing 4 nodes ( i think) and would make 10 new shoots if im correct ?

well heres a small update.

after sitting down and thinking, i took my old classica FY18 (18w fluro tube) and shoehorned it into the cab. having a 19-15-15 inch cab meant that the fluro tube sits at an angle but should do.

the fluro tube itself gives of a real pink'ish looking light, i have no clue on its color wavelength or what lumens it kicks out but at a rough guess i have 1200 lumen from the CFL and i would say around the same for the fluro tube. altogether i have 38w total from both lights and 1200 lumens from each tube.

i been reading the FAQ about lighting and dont understand exactly how lumens add up. with 2x 1200 lumens does this mean i have only 1200 lumens or do i double too make 2400 lumens ?

anyway plant under sunlight starts too droop the leaves lay flatish. but under just the CFL the leaves start too reach towards the CFL is this right. should the plants leaves start pointing skywards.

thank you for help and advice

having problems with LST.

plants stem is now around the thickness of a bic pen maybe more and wont bend as much as it did when younger. its not growing as much now and i think has stopped growing top wise. i have a few side shoots starting too show from the extra 18w tube i placed inside cab.

attachment shows plant in its cab and a it's stem. how does one bend these thick stems.the top is taking ages too grow in two days i have seen no difference in size of top. should i cut it off. pic was taken on 30th. should i also LST the fan leaves down too so light gets into the nodes for baby shoots too grow ?

any advice on bending these thick stems would be awesome

thanks

Umm, you shouldn't have to bend the thick part of the stem. After you tie a plant down and the top turns back up again, wait a few days for it to grow then just lay it over and tie it down again. Continue tieing down just the new growth (The new growth you will notice is very flexible and can be tied down easily.) The stem that has already been bent will get stonger and bigger. This is because the plant is like -whoa i got bent over i better make my stem stronger.
So just tie down the new growth as it comes up. Everytime my plant makes a new node about an inch long I lay it over and tie it down. It has been taking less then a week and its ready to be tied down again.
Hope this helps.
Can we get a new pic of your plant?

yes will have too take new pics tomorrow, she is doing 12/12 now. my plant started showing female pre flowers.

the plant was re-potted today and been re-tied down. i also asked FDD about low stress training and he offered some advice that i done straight away.

i have too get some molasses, and some new fert, this babybio has a 10-4-1 NPK and i noticed my buds have kinda stopped growing.

pictures and new update tomorrow

new pictures taken today.

she has been repotted into a much larger pot. she also required some new LST clips fitted. my main top is growing slowly too.

today she was given 1/3 teaspoon of natural dark brown molasses sugar (unrefined) in 1 pint of water with 7 drops of babybio liquid fert. the pot took 3/4 of a pint of this mix. these pictures have been taken 2 hrs after feeding.

update: smell has been noticed, was asked why my kitchen smelled like stinging nettles lol. i put the blame on the fresh cut grass. time too install the ghetto carbon filter i made from a new aquarium canister filter carbon pack.

temp hit 60c last night so i blocked up intake and outlets, i forgot this morning and when returned found temp at a stable 87.2f, no adverse effects and looks like plant likes it's new enviroment.

i had some purple leaf stems around 5 days ago and put it down too the cold. but today i noticed these leaf stems are now a lovely red'ish color. the four predominated shoots have very very fine hairs growing out of the tops, these side shoots are around 3 / 4 inches high. the main top is looking nice and has started too form alot more white hairs.

strain is still an unknown type. but i am fairly sure she is an autoflower with some satvia looks. i have given her a what i class heavy LST. it started at 2 days old seedling. the pot was tipped on an angle too get seedling too start too bend herself. then i cut some oversized paperclips into double hooks. a small hole punched in side of pot would be the fixing point and the other hook used too hold plant in place. i did NOT twist the main stem but found it hard too train plant into the first bend, took a few clips and 5 adjustments a day too get her round the first bend. from then on i changed the fixing points too every node being held down. but the top would be left too grow upwards.

once top was very close too touching the CFL only then i moved another clip into place and hooked down the top. this opened up the nodes and allowed more light in and around a day later or so sideshoots could be seen forming. you can see these below in pictures. both smaller ones and the most predominant sideshoots. she was also repotted from a 8 inch round pot into a 1ft square pot holding around 4-6 litres of dirt (compost).

FOOD!!!!! omg Foood!! most plants shout this and mine certainly did. MG ? no dont use that its rubbish, i have read on this forum. well pictures speak for themselves this baby was grown with MG: pour and feed liquid food 0.2-0.2-0.2 ( green tub 1lt) half a capfull into pot twice every week. 6 days ago she started feeding on BabyBio 10.6-4.4-1.7 (clear bottle 175ml) and i have seen no difference in growth patterns at all. same speed in growth but more greener leaves from the higher nuet count. just goes too show you cant knock a product untill you have tried it yourself and i for one rate is a 7-10 for newbies so long as they stick with the right doses. the plant also recieves molasses in the form of billingtons dark molasses sugar (unrefined) it recieves 1/4 teaspoon in 1 pint of water with a few drops of babybio every second feeding too help build up her buds. tomorrow she also gets a lighting upgrade too 2x 40w CFL 2700k, this should also help alot more with flowering.
