I have not read it all the way through. I have read plenty of passages. First I'd like to say that there was a Tree of Life and also a Tree of Knowledge. The Tree of Life providing fruit that was to provide eternal life for Adam and Eve so they could live forever in the Garden of Edan and take care of all that God has provided them. The Tree of Knowledge provided knowledge to anyone who eats the fruit, but this was forbidden by God to Adam. If the tree of knowledge is in fact mary jane, then we commit the original sin every time we smoke weed. This tree is the first restriction in the bible and there-fore the first temptation for man-kind. Because they did eat this fruit, they had to leave the garden of edan, never to eat the Fruit of Life.
I personally believe most of the Adam and Eve and the Garden of Edan is some sort of metaphor but still, are there any more references of the tree of knowledge after this story? perhaps in reference to Adam and Eve but not in the present tense.
