What do you think this means?

I have not read it all the way through. I have read plenty of passages. First I'd like to say that there was a Tree of Life and also a Tree of Knowledge. The Tree of Life providing fruit that was to provide eternal life for Adam and Eve so they could live forever in the Garden of Edan and take care of all that God has provided them. The Tree of Knowledge provided knowledge to anyone who eats the fruit, but this was forbidden by God to Adam. If the tree of knowledge is in fact mary jane, then we commit the original sin every time we smoke weed. This tree is the first restriction in the bible and there-fore the first temptation for man-kind. Because they did eat this fruit, they had to leave the garden of edan, never to eat the Fruit of Life.

I personally believe most of the Adam and Eve and the Garden of Edan is some sort of metaphor but still, are there any more references of the tree of knowledge after this story? perhaps in reference to Adam and Eve but not in the present tense.

From what I understand the tree of life and the tree of knowledge are the same. It was forbidden to Adam and Eve, but the very last few verse of the bible that warn against people removing verses from it, say that if you do remove verses from it, then your share of the tree of life will be taken away from you.

Thus we are meant to use it. Unless we sin against the bible. Which is why false Christians do not get any.

I have looked through the 4 bibles in my house hold and two of them it is not the tree of life that will be taken away but "God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

thoughts?

Curiouser and curiouser :

"God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
- this is in the KING JAMES version.

The GOOD NEWS bible says :

"God shall take away his share of the fruit of the tree of life and of the holy city, which are described in this book."

Somebody's going to get fried. Thats for sure.

I'm with the Good News ;-j

its all the same thing. just different ways of saying it. The good news is a newer version of the bible whereas the kind james is an older text. different rhetoric, same meaning.

Good News was compiled to clear up the discrepencies that Shakespeare added.

The tree of life had to have existed in Eden. There were no books or kids in Eden, thus it had to be a plant. One that produces fruit 12 months of the year. Any horticulturalists know of any plant that does produce fruit 12 months of the year?
