i've left my plants alone for the last 2 days no water no disturbences nothing. Cos as you know i'm a newbie and get a bit obsessive. Anyway I looked at my plants and Panthero was fine but Obama had this on one of the top leaves. I thought it may have been the light as i first looked at the light was resting on the plant. But I looked at one of the new leaves on the same plant and it had the same. Any ideas please?

Don't really know what it was but, did you disinfect your growing area? If you did not that can be a little neighborhood of germs and pest.

If it's a bug, it's not a usual indoor pest, like a mite/aphid and possibly could be alone.
Could be simply a matter of finding and removing it? It may have decided it didn't like pot and moved on. Most "on contact" pesticides should assure it doesn't survive and another spray in couple/few weeks would probably deal w/any eggs this critter may have layed. Neems oil. Pyrethrum?

I'd I.D. it before bothering spraying . . . or make certain it was still around.

Looks like a Caterpillar attack. Look around for the culprit and get rid of it. If you can't find it... then its gone. Just look closely every day and make sure there are no Caterpillars on your plants.

What indoors? i'll get some pesticides tomorrow just incase something fishy is up. Are all pesticides ok?

Saw the same thing on my plant out side. I looked to very carefully and found a black speck. " looks like a piece of black paint maybe a scab". something of the sort and it ended up being some kind of leaf eater. forgot the name of it.
