I have a couple A/G's full of seedlings from some old seeds I had. The roots have become an entangled mess so I want to do three things; one, even out the tops by pruning them to equal heights so that I can keep the light adjusted evenly on all of them. Two, I want to prune the big upper leaves so the lower ones can get the light also and three, I just pruned the roots off by by about 1/3. I've done this before and had good luck. Was it just dumb luck the first time? It's a common practice with potted dwarf citrus trees that's why I wasn't afraid to try it the first time.
As soon as I'm positive which are the girls and which are the boys I'll separate them and thin them out. I planted them on Oct. 5th. and they're all doing very well. I plan to start the flowering formula next week and allow one female and one male to give me seeds in a separate grow area. Your comments and advice please. Hank
