when your vegging, do most of you like doing 24/24 or 18/6 lighting?

for MH 18/6, if I am vegging with floros then 24.

18/6, saves money on your bill. Not much of a difference between the two in growth rates anyways, IMO.

the jeorge cervantes book said the plant only uses 18,but like caddyluck said 24 will help under florecents,cuase there kinda week anyway

I would say it depends on your watts and type of bulbs but I have a 50 watt HPS that i use for both veg and flower. Yes I know 50 watt is little but I have very limited space and I'am making do with what I have. I went 24/7

Actually I find the best veg cycle lies somewhere between the two at 20/4 or 21/3. But that's just me.

20-4? i might try that? i suppose at the very least it gives the bulbs time to cool down. would you suggest this with CFL growing?

OPZ, I would suggest a 20/4 to anyone with any light setup. Its a good veg cycle.
