so the way his upper nodes are curling up (pic2) is not bad? what does that mean, my plants do it all the time (but they are nice lush green like his) - is it a warning sign of some sort (heat?) or is the leaf just trying to capture more light?

it looks to me like they are just new leaves which have yet to unfurl completely.

Its just a cheap areoponics system i got off of eway. Im using a 400w HPS/MH light with the MH at 18/6.

Nice plants, I'm growing the Mango and I love it, it's a nice hardy plant...very easy to clone too. I hope all these plants are going to be about the same size since they are in one unit. I'm sure they are I know you know your MJ. good luck with them.
