Flowering starts when your plant shows sex (technically). 12/12 is just your light schedule for your flowerng photoperiod. Lookin' good. We're about at the same point in flowering.

Cheers mate!
I actually haven't taken note when I first noticed the sex..

Nice looking plants but hey those CFL's you are hanging vertically are a fire hazard! You can look this up for yourself. Turn them sideways so the ballast is not above the bulb adding excess heat to the circuit board and ballast that could catch on fire and burn down your house.

When you screw a light bulb into a ceiling fixture is it not upside down? In veg I always hang CFL's (clamp) them facing down.

Thanx for the heads up mate.. I did not know that fact about CFL..

As far as my understanding goes, it seems that there's fire hazard only once the CFL bulb ends its life (stops working).
Since I check on my ladies almost everyday now if one of the bulbs should fail I'll make sure to quickly remove it and change it with a new one..

Good info :-)

Yea I did't know that either til i smelled smoke in my house and found a black cfl bulb and looked into it more. If you wait until they burn out thats too late because that is the moment when it happens. If you using CFLs for growing you should replace them every 2 harvests anyway because the intensity of the bulb is reduced by nearly 30% at that point.

Oh alright then.. My lights are new, just got new ones with yellow spectrum for flowering..
I guess I should be on the safe side :)
Although freak accidents do happen all the time lol
