OK so I meet this guy for the first time yesterday "roomate has known him for about 6 months" and come to find out that he can get me clones!!! He said that he can get me clones of WW and Lifesavers at a cost of 5 for $50 and he needs 20 days notice?!?!? I have been looking for clones for awhile so the price doesnt bother me its the 20 days notice... Why would he need 20 days??? Anyone shed some light on this and tell me whats going on and if its a total waste:confused:

No...its probably time to get them rooted. The guy probably has a mother plant for his own opperation, so its no sweat to take clones...just takes a lil time. 20 days is just a bit long...if I were to sell some I would root for 14 days and sell.
 
Do you mean how long does it take for a clone from a plant to be mature enough to clone itself again? Sry just a little confused at the Q
 
Ya a clone form a clone how long does that take? I dont know Im new to this and like most people I dont like getting ripped off...
 
It depends how fast they grow...a clone is technically as old as the plant it was taken from...so you wouldn't need to worry about the age of the plant....as soon as it had some cloneable branches you can clone it.
 
well it would be just like starting all over again...You have to wait until the original clone gets big enough...maybe a month or two depending on the variables
 
Appears cloner is only cloning by order . . . a wise thing to do if one doesn't want to become over run by clones they don't need.
 
Yup yup....I'd do it the price isn't bad...I've heard of charging 40 for 1

BTW Mr. Fishy...I was reading through some posts the other week and found something you wrote....mad props...I can't remember what it was but you said something good! And I didn't remember who did it till I saw your avatar

i imagine he has to take a few cuttings and root them. time frame is right and if the're rooted you can go directly to flower.
 
i have 2 wait 14 to 21 days for my clones from the person i buy them from, so that sounds ok 2 me.. happy growing

Dont mean to hi-jack but this might help you too....If you take a clone from a mother plant will the mother plant die if you take the clone wrong? and also will it grow two new shoots like topping?
