what causes this?? first time grower HELP!!

hey yall I'm flowering clones right now and they are stretched beyond belief! I am using 1000w lights about 12in. above them. So its not because the lighting is to far.

What else causes flowering plants to stretch crazily?!!

How tall were they when you started flowering?

All plants stretch the first 3-4 weeks of flower depending on strain. Sativas are the worst and pure Indicas are the least to stretch. It is just part of the process. Nothing to be concerned about as far as health. It does cause first time growers a bit of a issue when suddenly they are running out of headroom.

Once you learn how a particular plant grows in flower, it helps you during veg to keep your plants manageable for your grow area. Goos Luck!
