Auto pistils at day 17?Got auto gelato from linda seeds;feeding organics and she already has 5 nodes and 8 internodes growing healthy but started growing pistils on top at day 17! Also lights are on 20/4 on timer with samsung full spectrum qb strong enough to keep plant short.

Some of mine were in full flower at less than 4 weeks so it sounds pretty normal to me. Not going to grow autos anymore as I just wanted them for outside way up north here and now hemp farming near me has put the kibosh on that plan. Photos are better for me indoors. Made a lot of F2 fem seeds of the autos as well.

Well, autoflowers are cultivars bred with cannabis species that form flowers regardless of day length. This is Photoperiodism. Hemp varieties are often day-neutral (autoflowering) whereas narcotic varieties are typically short-day plants (requires shorter days). Breeding the two together brought us varieties that are day-neutral while also being psychoactive. In other words, it flowers whenever it wants.

My opinion on autos, ANY adverse condition could cause it to flower early.

You didn't really give any details to your temp, your watering habits, light intensity or co2 levels in the grow space, all of these things impact the flowering cycle of an auto. Maybe your space is too hot/cold, too dry/damp, what VPD range is your plant in, etc etc etc. Give us more info.?
