Alright so in my pc grow box, my adapter must have broken today because the fans wont come on, what can i use to power 3 pc fans? I need to use one thing to power all 3 btw.

Thanks!

This would get you power from a standard wall plug:

This would split that power and supply it to TWO pc fans (as long as they have 4-pin male molex plugs):

I bought a 1 x 4-pin male molex to 3 x 4-pin female power splitter online a while back, but it appears to be out of stock/discontinued on newegg:

Alternatively, if you have 3-pin adapters on your fans this would probably work:

Finally...I believe that a standard cell-phone charger would be plenty good enough to power four or more ordinary pc fans if you wanted to do the rewiring yourself. Just snip the adapters off of the ends of the charger and fan power cords and wire them in parallel (each fan red wire is connected together to one wire from the charger, and all the black wires from the fans are tied together with the other wire from the charger). Just plug it in, and if it doesn't work, try switching the connections of the two wires from the cell-phone charger).

just go buy an adapter (120 v ac to 12 v dc).

you will need to make sure it has enough amps to power all 3 fans. the amps should be listed on the fans. if not, the watts will be listed, and you can use the formula...

amps = watts/volts

most cpu fans are .15 - .45 amps, so unless you have beefy fans, a 1 amp (1000 milliamp) 12 volt adapter will work.

it will list amps and volts right on the adapter.

the real trick is finding one. i am lucky to have a surplus computer parts shop nearby, but radio shack will do in a pinch. may cost a bit more.
