i have 5 seedlings put in peat moss but im only looking to get enuff for this space. i have a 150w hps bulb im going to use threw the entire life cycle. so what do you think i can get out of it given the small space?
i thought i did put the ' yanno, anyways yea. so you think 2oz , the box height is only 2' ish at the most. scrog was the best option but kinda worried how to do that
Have you tested temps to make sure you can run the 150 in there without it getting too hot? Long as you can keep your temps below 85F you should be okay. What sort of reflector or mounting are you using for the light?
With only 2' of headroom max you're going to have a bit of trouble. Figure 4" minimum is taken up by the bulb and mounting and 6" to tops of plant, that only leaves 14" of space for the pots and plants. You could fit 4 6" pots in there, 5 plants is going to be too much considering the restricted height, imho. If they are reg seeds you may be okay, but if fem then you may want to cull the smallest/weakest after a week or two in veg. 6" pots will leave you only 8" max for the plants vertically, I think that'll be too tight for a scrog. Normally the screen would be kept about 6-10" above the pot and then the plant tops will grow through the screen.
Using lst instead, you may be able to keep the plants to under 8" tall, but honestly if you can't increase the height in there you may want to consider using one or two high wattage cfls instead. They throw less heat and can be kept closer to the plants. The other option would be to try and get some more headroom, even just another 6" would help a ton with this.
