What are some things that i can do to do bust my bud growth?

THIS IS JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION.
The most important thing you can do is select the best seed, clone or the strain that you are starting with. Genetics is very important. You wnat a bushy Indica.
I've learned from a few years experience to toss those runts and sickly little plants. If I see I have a runt, I just pull it up and start over. I've learned to really examine the plant and see if it has lots of stalks (like in the pic at my signature) or is it just going to be like a single stalk of corn with no or FEW major branches from the bottom.
I think others will talk about nutrients, air, water, soil, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, dry ice, etc, but I wish I knew a real good way to increase buds. Of course,t eh bigger the plant, the mroe buds. i've done alot of experiments with STRETCHING and I try for BIG PLANTS. STRETCHING helps me get a big plant. I raie my lights 12 to 16 inches TO FAR away, for one day only, then move them back close as I can the next day. The plant reaches for the light and grows faster toward it. That makes more "node room" which gives me more buds. I also pinch off the tops at 2 and 3 weeks. a double grows back!

I would agree. Runts for some reason tend to look shitty vegging then a few weeks into flowering they boost into some size-able plants with good size colas. Saw a runt do this in my friends grow rooms turned out great.

Molassess, unsulphered at 2 tble spoons per gallon water.
At this stage in they're life it is the only thing you can really do safely.
If you try to pump up the buds with some 0-50-30 shit, you will ruin the taste of your weed.

yeah... never throw away a plant that loos like a "runt" often, I am pleasently surprised by the "runts" .... for example, my sensi star and Grape Ape are my runts... Sensi star has the highest amount of resin production, and the Grape Ape by far has the most purple pistils I have ever seen 
.... do what you want to do..... increasing bud growth is all about the last two weeks before flowering starts (hit it good with the FF big bloom or open sesame, then after one watering, give a little bit of catalyst and bloom nutes of your choosing... on more watering, and the next time you should feed should be after they have gone into 12/12 half dose veg, half dose bloom, with the following feed being 1/4 veg 3/4 bloom.... and the next being 1/8 veg full dose of bloom, the 1/8 veg should remain constant until three weeks before harvest, one week before you start your flush). Molasses will help your buds dense up and pack on weight by making it easier for your roots to pull in the necessary nutes and convert them to the specific kinds of energy the plants need to bud out 
.... start with 1/2 tblspn per gallon, and then move up to 3/4 tblspn, then up to 1 tblspn, and wrapping up with 1.5 tblspn followed by another half tblspn per gallon every time you feed . hasnt been mentioned yet but...TLC! plants love it when your around them, or talk to them...kiss them?...TLC is the best way to get big healthy plants.

molasses can be mixed in with a FF solution, never mix FF strait with anything, always dilute with water first. The way I do it is about a half an hour after I feed the plants, I come back around with strait water and my catalyst (which has molasses mixed into it)... plants love it...

My strain was bag seed no clue when it started to grow i just noticed it and went with it .. Glad it turned out fem . here are some pics from 8-7-08 ill get new ones up this weekened. Last pic is when i first noticed it

give the molasses either a little after your normal feedings (like a half an hour after) or the next day with strait water. Is that metal can properly drained?
