hi yall i was wondering what brand of bulb and type you are using in your system. the length of use hrs ect. i have a 1000 watt switchable ballast that came with a hps bulb and am just starting a new grow.should i get a mh bulb and switch to hps when i go 12/12 or get an argosun MH type multispectrum bulb for the whole grow. if i do switch bulbs at flowering do you change the bulb on the same day as the light hours change? do any of you buy your bulbs online and if so what stores do you find the best prices? thanks for any and all replies

I just use generic 1k's and I change them every flower cycle because they're cheap and that keeps the lumens up there. Mine happen to be sylvania atm but I didn't get them there.

Crap I forgot to add that it makes little difference if you veg with one light or flower with another. (either hps or halide will do both ok, not ideal but over 75% within each other)
Given the choice you should buy a halide for veg and use the hps for flower, and I prefer generic bulbs just for the low cost and so I can change them often to avoid a lot of loss as they age. But honestly if you don't really have the money and you aren't growing for cash then it doesn't matter one single bit, you will end up with more smoke than you probably need anyway if you do things right otherwise.
