What are these things? + Picture

I was just wondering I've got a plant inside, my closet for the first time. I was just wondering what these little things are, please be specific so I know dead on what they are.
Two come out from each side where each leaf is, as in the picture. I put the picture on paint, so I can make them bigger.

Its just where new nodes of growth are starting, in a couple of weeks they will be stems with leaves.

I believe it is new growth, as i was wondering the same thing about a week ago, and lots of people told me this

Closer? The lights right now are a couple inches away from the plant.

Yes those are what I am talking about, I am currently using two 100 watt just regular soft white lights.
But I am going to Home Depot here soon, to pick up some CFL's.

oh thats why there stretched i assume those are incandescent lights.if so no good for growing but cfls will work great.oh stipules are on every plant nothing to worry about.

Yeah that are incandescent lights, im going to get some cfl's in a couple minutes here im going to head out to home depot.
