What am i looking for?

Hey all
Well i have 4 lady's who have been groing outside for 3 months and were started 2 months before that inside. They are all between 5 and 6 feet tall. (sorry no pics!!) I dont know what strainns but are probably all different ones.... I gues my question is more about what the "bud" llooks like. They dont apear to have any yet...i still have about a month or so before frost will come so is it just still to early? When should they start making me some bud??? should i be doing somthing to help them?
