What am I doing wrong?

First time grower here.

This happened twice and for some reason I dont know what is happening.

I germinated a seedling, put it in rockwool. It sprouted and showed it's first set of leaves (other than the round ones). It seemed to not grow fast although looked very healthy. This morning the set of leaves were shriveled up. Is it just from underwatering? The temp in the room is around 80 deg fahrenheit. PH at 6 and light on 18/6. The CFL lights are about 1 -1.5 inches away and I have a fan running.

I have another seed I am germinating but it is my last seed and I do not want to mess this next one up.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

dude, that light is basically laying in the rockwool with the seed, get that light up atleast to 6 inches away, get a humidity dome if you can, either its too hot under that bulb or the rockwool is drying out, a humidity dome will keep the cube moist and the light being higher will help with intensity

Thanks Morris. I just keep hearing to get the light close to the seedling so it doesn't stretch. That is what I did by I think it ended up drying up the rockwool. I'll try the humidity dome.
