Grew up in Lakewood (west side of Cleveland). Know Ohio well. The legislature has gotten really awful since I left (decades ago). They will have to be dragged kicking and screaming and will fight it all the way.

You need a citizen referendum initiative--that was the only way to get it done here in Maine (and our legislature is way more reasonable than yours). If a majority of voters say "we want these laws changed" then the legislature and governor need to get out of the way and let it happen. Of course they can throw up roadblocks (after our referendum passed the former governor vetoed every bill the legislature passed to clarify the ground rules for growing--didn't really get fully implemented until that fool was voted out in 2018.)

Has to be a grassroots movement. In theory you should be able to get plenty of conservatives on board, since they believe in personal liberty and minimal government intrusions on personal freedom--unless they've been brainwashed to believe cannabis is evil.

Then the police won’t be able to incriminate the large population of black people living in ghettos.
They are able to recruit snitches, ruin lives, and keep black people being ghetto and being law breakers. Plus the city makes a lot of money off of fines and get free weed from confiscation!

The main reason imo for criminalization is a conspiracy to oppress black people and take out government targets.

selling any amount in most Criminalized states can land you jail time. So they recruit snitches from this, jail targeted individuals with sting ops.

most of us think weed ain’t a thing to worry about as long as you are discrete, however, when the man is onto you for ANY reason, he will WAIT and WATCH for a reason to arrest, harass or charge you. And he will ENTRAP you if he can.
