Purchasing a Enhanced Bulbs is just a waste of money, when you can buy 3 HPS bulbs for price of one. I dont know of any documented proof or case studied ( by a neutral qulified, certified staff) showing better results. I dont know any commercial growers that use enhance, there ususally all reg HPS. HPS can be used in both veg and flower. I enjoy R&D-ing so I purchased couple enhanced bulbs(600watts) from different manufactors, the plant environments and nutrients all were carbon copy to the competeing reg HPS growen veg,flower. Found no difference in veg cycle but reg HPS took the lead, reg HPS flower cycle had the edge.Flowers like in the red light spec. Reg HPS put out more in the red. You don't have to buy your bulbs through a Hydro Store, I just do a search under "lighting" or "Bulbs" etc. I paid $ 39.00 each for reg HPS bulb (600wattS I get a small discount) Anyhow, try this test yourself and will probabaly come with same results, it gets some faults hope in people, like nutrients it hype. Best advice I can give you is talk to people, research (like your doing right now,and your doing a GOOD JOB!!) and just KEEP IT SIMPLE !! IT WILL REWARD YOU. I just wanted to add a new found web-store that has brand name bulbs, "EYE", Sylvania, nonbrand, etc 400 watt HPS for $ 7.00, 10.00 for MH and the 1000 watts series $ 26.00 for HPS, $ 20.00 for MH.
