wet to dry forumula?

What is the average conversion weight from fresh cut buds to their properly cured final weight? Let's say one has 100 gms fresh. From faq's it seems they imply 80% reduction, but I'd like to hear from a few current growers on their formula.
Thanks!

Quite a diff between mjetta's estimate and WSlayer's . . . I'm rootin' for Mjetta, but guessing it's closer to Slayers. Bump-a-roo!

Plant with dense bud..lose about 70-80%...lighter..50-70%..depends on how much lumber..you've got the wood..I'll send you the plans for the deck..:)

So you're saying smaller, looser nugs tend to lose less drying weight? Is that right?
And that thinner stems/stalks also result in less curing loss?
That makes perfect sense.

I dont think that is what he is saying.

"Plant with dense bud..lose about 70-80%...lighter..50-70%..depends on how much lumber." Twisty

One of us is confused more than the other?

How do you interpret Tw's comment?

In my experience u should expect to lose 60
to 75 percent, max! I have a suspicion that the 80% figure is put out there so ppl wont b disappointed. I have never seen that much loss in a fresh bud, ever.

That's good news. I thought not even an ounce out of 100 gms was a bit pessimistic.
Only time'll tell now. Thanks.
