Hey crazy dog...sendd us some pics!
Im actually working on that. Just purchase the camera today. I start vactation next thursday and i'm working extra to get ready and should have learned how to use the thing by then and then i just have to figure out how to get it on the computer and on riu. i'm great with plants, but when it comes to computers, i'm still in preschool. plus my hubby is still concerned for privacy, the more i learn on here and show him, i think its more a matter of learning how to load on computer. any suggestions would be helpful

cons: making mistakes and having to start over
pros: learned valuable lesson and never made again

more pros : I'm not paying for someone elses crapweed, and because of my occuupation i had to be extra extra extra careful to avoid the gossip, so i only got the shit

one more pro: it costs me less to supply my husbands and my needs than it did previously including the cost of any prescribed pharmeceuticals to avoid total mental breakdowns from having to deal with the general public and i have an awesome set up.

okay, another pro: its awesome smoke and even better its as fresh as you can get and even better you choose what you smoke if you know the strain.

well i could go on and on, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. grow your own.

i researched, bought a few books on amazon, bought a 400w hps light you may want to go for a 250, got it at , well cant remember ill have to research and get back to you on that, any way practiced, killed a few, but ultimately had about a 30% success rate 3 out of 10 seeds would be female, finally got my first 6 females to flower, ended up with 4 decent plants to regenerate, let veg bigger, then flower, meanwhile taking various clones throughout, then regenerate again, original 4 got really bigg stem at this point, made to into 4ft tall mini trees, two are going to be mothers and the other 2 were put in my first outdoor crop which hopefully will be ready in 4-5 weeks. i bought a 2nd hps about 1/2 way thru this process and currently have 2 grow cabinets. 1 is set to 12/12 and 1 is set to 24/0. I have a continuall rotation. I am letting them veg to 24" then they go into 12/12 and grow from there. I am currently experimenting with scrog in the 12/12 and different pruning techniques in the 24/0. its a great stress release in itself. my cabinets currently measure 2feet deep x 6feet high x 6ft long, but we are getting ready to start the build of a totally hidden 7x7 secret room that you cant even tell is there. its costs me about $30 a month in electricity and i have invested in some equipment over the last 1 1/2 years (maybe a little longer im kinda buzzin) but it is definitely worth it because i was paying almost 100 a 1/2oz for crap and my husband and i were going thru like it was ditchweed, so it has definitely paid itself off within 6 months. we haven,t purchased in 12 months so i figure thats at least $2400 i didn't give to someone else. the lights were about 150 a piece with shipping, 30 for extra bulb, 40 for books, 100 in pots and various growing mediums, maybe 100 in various nutes and other misc supplies, 130 for building materials for cabinets, thats $700 plus 18 months of elctricity, thats $540, with a grand total of $1240, okay round that uptp $1400 because im high and i'm sure im forgetting something. :weed::weed::weed:

Seriously thanks alot! Very helpful info crazydog. I laughed at the fact that your high as a kite when you typed this. The crap weed is all ive found since ive been here . I just cant smoke it anymore. My other problem is finding a connect thats reliable. I guess thats why ive inquired about growing. I dont think I could do more then a few plants in my apartment...just too risky and im not really sure how my wife would respond hahaha...she doesnt smoke.
Can you limit the height on the plants? It makes it easier to conceal. And whats the best place to buy seeds?
Just from reading your response its def more complicated then sticking a seed in a pot, water and watch it grow...at least if you want it too last ay?
What strand are you growing? Thanks for all the helpful insight!

:sad:not sure what the strain is since its bagweed seed. i wanted to learn to produce decent bud before i invested in seed. i will be attempting that this winter once i finish my new grow room.

as for growing , first things first, either your wife is on board or you find an alternative grow space other than home because she will smell it, unless you have some ultimate state of the art ventilation system which would cost a pretty penny to purchase, which leads to your second problem and that is that you live in a n apartment. are your neighbors cool?? now if you were renting a little house in the country or sparcely popoulated area, and you had your wife's agreement, that would solve allot of your problems. i know how it is to relocate to a new area where you know noone. i've had to do it 3 times for my job.
