Well Water

I live in a pretty rural area in the northeast US.

I've been watering my plant with natural spring water (bottled).

Now that it's bigger and requires more water...yeah

Is well water OK for my plant? I think it's pretty "hard" because we have a big water softener set up in the basement.

You'll have no troubles using well water......Hardwater just has alot of minerals in it, that's what makes it "hard". My well water (that I drink) 350 ppm of minerals etc. in it. My hydro units and my outdoor plants all get watered with it. The minerals are in the water from the ground so everything on earth is growing in it too. Distilled is just evaporated water (minerals don't evaporate) like rain water.....once it rains and hits the ground it has minerals in it from the soil. (hopefully that makes sense.) {kinda like making rock candy, you mix sugar and water. After the water evaporates you are still left with the sugar.}

I guess what I'm trying to say is, you are fine using well water! lol.

Alot of people like using distilled water so they can get an accurate measurement of what nutes they are adding and get it to an exact level I believe. I have used it before.

I went ahead and flushed it with 2 liters of well water. (First time using this water - hope it's ok?) I've been using bottled water all the time.
