I was wondering if there were any cartoons anyone finds particularly trippy? Adventure Time is pretty cool, Ren and Stimpy can be good for the laughy mood, and sometimes if I'm over at my friend's house, she puts on anime. I don't know any of the titles though. But I was talking to her last week and she reminded me of this weird cartoon they used to show on Nick in the '80s called Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea? I think you can watch some of it on youtube but a lot of the episodes I found were in French.

For animated shows, I'm a big fan of Superjail.

Super Jail rules! If you dig super jail, check out Metalocalypse. But only if you like Metal and bloody humor.

My go to stoned show is Samurai Jack, the animation is beautiful and the stories are really simple. I think there are still some episodes on Netflix. I love old school cartoons.

If you want trippy animated films look up any old films by Ralph Bakshi. I still have most of his collection on VHS. Trippy stuff from the 60s and 70s. Fritz, Wizards and Coonskin are classics that you should see for sure.
Dead Leaves probably shouldn't be watched sober. It's nonstop craziness.
The original Heavy Metal film is a good choice as well.
Then there's Wicked City and Akira if you're into Anime. Even if you're not they're worth a watch.

One of the coolest things I've seen both fucked up and sober. Dark tones in this.

Sounds like your running through the spines of my movie collection.. Bakshi is awesome! Taking a walk through the inner city with Fritz was nothing like ive ever seen before. Fun as hell with enough politically incorrect dope to offend nearly anyone under 40 these days. And I would definitely say Wicked City.. and i never hear anyone bring that anime title up... is phenomenal.. but pretty fucked up for the casual viewer. But hell yeah if Giuseppe aint tha man!!

I'd throw out Liquid TV shorts Mtv put out in the 90's -
    https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0101134/

And Im also partial to my favorite cartoon from childhood.. the Mighty Heroes. Stupid and terribly dated but its a riot..

Yeah just about every Bakshi films are pretty triggering to kids nowadays. But his films were pretty much half political statements. Dude's lived one hell of an interesting life.
And wicked city is perfect for getting stone and watching. Back in the late 90s me and my buddy used to watch that after smoking up shitty high school weed and snorting adderall off from one of those carnival pictures in the glass frames.
    Good times.
