First week 200w cfl
second week 400w HPS, Lights on 24/7
Two fans one small, one big blowing to the seedling n HPS.
Temperatures; in room 23,5-24, under the light ( in shade) ~27
Drip feed aquafarm with clay pebbles
adjusted ph twice a day ( it goes up ) from 6,5-7,5 to ~5 EDIT: Typo, so ph rises from 5 to 6,5 - 7,5

370 PPM which is rising slighty every day (might be becose the evaporation of water?) and with slightly i mean from 370 to 380 in a day or two. Lucas formula with GHE micro n bloom.

do they look like this becose of the fluxuation of ph? mby nute burn?

oh and seeds are from sensi seeds, super skunk feminized.

First time growing, and i think my plant look kinda weird? especially one of em.

ps got also two seedling in soil which germinated at the same day and they look kinda the same. HELP!

With ph at 7.5 coming down to 5 sometimes there's a chemical reaction you can smell, just like if you were to mix bleach with ammonia. But it's probably just nute burn. It's a good idea to use just root growing suppliment til the plant is 5 inches tall or so

Sorry if i wasnt clear enough, also added info to the original post to make it more clear

The ph rises from around 5 to 6,5/7,

Edit: the plants are around 5 inch tall. They stretched a bit under cfl so when i potted them in drip feed i "fixed" it at the same time.

I agree - looks like nute burn. Also, a 400 w hps is a lot of light for tiny seedlings and too much light can stunt growth and cause the leaves to curl up. I would consider switching back to your CFL's for a bit until the plant starts to get a bid bigger and can absorb more light. I would also scale back on the nutes entirely - the cotyledon leaves contain enough nutrients to keep the seedling going for 2-3 weeks or longer. From what I understand, nutes aren't really required until the Cotyledon leaves start to yellow. Hope this helps. Keep in mind that I'm a newb too - so take my advice with a grain of salt.

darkstar the 400w thing u say is untrue im not tryin to be a dick here but cfls i think cause stretchyness 4 sure ....which the more light the better even young new seeds i put right under my 1k

wrong, it is so easy to burn up a new seedling by using the wrong AMOUNT of light. a plant that small does not have enough leaves to transpire the amount of water needed to compensate for the intense light and heat.

it shouldnt b intense light or heat from the getgo or dont use it! called fans blowin , cool air in / HOT AIR OUT, inlines and duct if u got cool tube

How do you figure a seedling survives being under the sun then. HIDs are fine for seedlings if kept at the proper distance. They have evolved to handle it just fine...
And OP if your pH is rising that fast there is an issue. How well did you rinse that medium before use? How do your roots look? Any foul smells from the res? And in the first pic I see 2 white spots on top of a rock that almost looks they could be root aphids. I would look close for them also.

Yeh. . Seedlings evolved to grow under the sun so an HPS bulb should be no thing to a seedling unless there are heat issues. The reason to use CFL has more to do with saving money on the power bill but if money is no issue then its no big thing.

Thanks for quick replys!

So it is nute burn.. i was hoping for a mutant plant diagnosis ^^

I will bring PPM down a bit then and see what happens, just wondering why the seedlings in soil look the same. Could there be something wrong with my seeds?

I rinsed the pebbles properly but still the ph goes up, really dont know why. today it was 6,5 before i downed it.

No smell. i added a few drops of h2o2 twice a week to be sure there is nothing extra growin in it. Could this affect the grow in a negative way?

I will be leaving for 4 days so ill just leave em be and hope for the best. I might even upp some pics when i come back ;)

-peace out

Too bad i didint have time to check the roots before i left, when i potted em in drip feed each of em had ~ 5 inch tap root, but that was 5 days ago or so. Earlier today i checked if they had grown any roots in res but didint see any.
