Weird Bud Growth -Help- Pictures

I'm new at growing and I need help with this weird growth, I'm not convinced its gone hermaphrodite.

I'm getting these weird ball things that have stem'ed of a lower node, The balls eventually spit out pistils, but i don't have this formation anywhere else on the plant only on 1 stem i'm just abit concerned. (Photos 1-5)

I have researched about "nanners" during late flower, but have never seen a 'banana' before so i'm unsure what they look like. I have taken tweezers to my plant and plucked out what i think 'may' be 'bananas', i also removed this weird bud growth at the bottom of my plant. (Photo 6)

The bananas also appear to spout pistils eventually too.

I have taken a few photos and hoping to get help with these questions.
Also I have 2-3 weeks left of flower.
1) Is this type of growth normal?
2) Are they 'bananas' that i pulled from the bud?
3) Should I just chill and not pull apart my buds?

You say you only have 2-3 weeks left of flower? It looks like it just started flowering! What sort of lighting have you been using? What sort of medium? You may want to trash that one and start over.

@Lordhooha Thanks for the reply, i was actually thinking about the lights before you commented!

Light Setup:
I have 2 LED lights, 1 x Mars hydro 600w and 1 x viper spectra 300w dimmable. I'm only growing 1 plant, there is only 1 stem affected the one directly under the 'viper spectra led light', currently i have the 600w going which is always on veg and bloom (Not adjustable, Purple light) and the viper spectra ONLY on the bloom (RED lights). I did this so the tent had more red spectrum. It is possible that 1 stem is not getting enough light, or less spectrum then the rest. (I have a basic Par meter which I might check out next time lights are on, however this doesn't indicate use-able light spectrum, just indicates light strength I believe)

I'm also using Soil mix with lots of perlite and correct feeding chart for flower period.

Here is a photo of the rest of the plant, all the other buds appear to be developing well, apart from the one circled which is where i pulled that weird growth at the bottom of my plant from.

Hope this helps, i can take a photo of the other buds in a natural light but i think they are developing normally?

You have some heat stress going on .

Those are male pollen sacks. So, your plant is going through alot of stress. That stress is making it turn into a hermaphrodite. How close are your lights? How are the temps? Hows strong is your feed? Is there air movement in the tent (proper ventilation).
I wouldnt trash the plant personally. I would pick off the nanners, and if more popped up everywhere, I would chop the plant. For 2-3 weeks of flower left, those buds are small bro. You messed up somehow. Hopefully you can fill us in with more info so we can help you out better.

Buds are airy as all get out .... not trying to be funny. .
It hermed out ... nanners are but one way to tell that your FEMALE is not what it seems , just the mere appearance can be an issue if not handled.

Your buds have stacked on top of each other and exhibits fox tailing .

Those “ buds “ will not recover no matter what you do .....

My piece of advice .... scrub the plant , clean out grow space and actually RUN a light / temp test on your space .....MEANING RUN IT EMPTY ... LOOK AT OPERATING TEMPS , adjust cooling options, operating temps after say a few hours and see how you can improve it.

This way your next run will ELIMINATE the grow environment possibilities and zero in on plant issues only.

What is the strain ?

@Budzbuddha Thank you and everyone for the replies.

My exact setup is as follows:
4" exhaust fan running 24/7
Tower fan inside cabinet running 24/7 for air circulation
2 x PC Fans for intake.
1 x 600w marshyrdo LED grow light (veg and bloom)
1 x 300w viper spectra LED grow light (bloom)
3 x temperature/RH meters. 2 inside cabinet, 1 outside cabinet, Temperature and Humidity control boxes are outside grow space with the sensors inside grow area at canopy height. I check them every time i walk in.
Temperature and humidity meters/switches that control my aircon unit in the same room as cabinet and dehumidifier to keep it a optimal levels.
Highest temperature it has ever been is 82f for maybe 10/15min.
Normal temperature controlled by aircon 75f
Highest flowering humidity 80% whist out purchasing dehumidifier (lots of airflow however)
Normal humidity under 50%
Growing in a 8 gallon smart pot. (Custom wide pot)
Cabinet size roughly 36" x 32"
500ppm/0.1ec flowering solution feed weekly ph adjusted to 6.5, wateringwith ph adjusted water if required.

I have tried my best to be DEAD on with everything as much as my environment lets me, considering this is my first grow aswell!

Strain - CBD Hash Plant by seedsman - Choose for medical reasons and short growing plant that fits my grow space. View Photo

Ill measure the other buds sites but roughly the same size as my hand (main stem) should they be bigger? I don't know?

Other bud sites look exactly like the photos seedsman released for this strain. Ill take a photo of the other bud sites and measure them and get your thoughts on them.

Ill get a photo of my general cabinet so you get an idea what i'm working with.

Someone please like one of my comments so i can link things lol. Check photos for seedsman pictures and description.

You stated you are NEW to growing ...
You have a lot going on with this and that ....

Pull back ..... start simple .

1. Switch vipar ( all SWITCHES ON ) forget that Single color channel bullshit .
..... trust me on this.

2. Get a good soil mix ... promix / happy frog / dr. Earth / sunshine 4 ... etc.
A good bag mix will have enough amendments to carry growth for weeks.
So much so ... you can just use water ONLY.

3. PH water AND FEED MIXES at 6.3 or 6.5 ..... not more not less

4. Get a ph meter to DIAL in what you are adding to plant

5. Forget measuring PAR / LUMENS / BRA SIZE or whatever from blurple lights.
News Flash : blurple NEVER have the numbers or actual performance as marketed.
They are what they are ......

6. Blurple WILL grow you some personal weed , but not in the yield you may think.
Blurple has poor penetration / construction/ lifespan / and heat generation.
Again it WILL grow pot. It not compare to other light systems like COB / HID / LED .

7. No RO / PERRIER / VAMPIRE PISS or other “ fancy “ water. You can grow on tap .
All you have to do is get the PH range done to allow the minerals and elements to be used are available. Using distilled or other shit complicates things. Unless battery acid is pouring out of your faucets ( sorry Michigan) that local municipality water will grow plants ... people around you are watering their lawns ... amiright ?

8. You can OXYGENATE your water ... an old aquarium air pump , tubing and a Airstone .
You can bubble some water 24 hours prior to use .... for watering or feed mixing.
No magic involved.....

9. Due to the less than optimal lighting .... run the plants straight 18/6 or higher.
Increase exposure time during VEG to give the plants as much as need. After say 5 weeks of growth or because of growth height , you can flip to 12/12 ..... unless they are autos and leave SAME CYCLE TIL END.

10. 80% RH is no bueno ... for any stage ( except clones ) ... that really needs to be corrected .
F993B470-6D2C-4720-BF77-9C9161F5E7AA.jpeg

11. Once you flip ....
A 1/4 to 1/2 of VEG feed for the next 2 weeks .....
This will allow plant to go thru stretch and branch out BEFORE it internally preps itself to flower.
Once you are in actual flower ... start your bloom feed ... start by HALF .... NO MATTER WHAT THE SCHEDULE SAYS.

Only your plant will show you how much it likes or doesn’t.... increase in feed will happen anyways about week 5 thru 7 as it hits MID FLOWER ... to build weight and bulk. Then after that start to ween DOWN in strength so you are not over nuteing . At end weeks you are letting plant PULL FROM ITSELF at a rate IT CHOOSES. . Leaves will fade ( bottom / older ) first as it burns thru it’s reserves.

12. Forget the flushing bullshit .... it opens up a debate .
To me .... IF YOU HAVE TO FLUSH ....it is because of grower / user error ...
Not plants ....

It’s a learning thing and overthinking / over analyzing a simple thing as growing a plant just makes a natural thing hella complicated....

Their is a MANTRA about growing weed .... KISS
KEEP THINGS SIMPLE .... STUPID .
( not directed as insult just a way of thinking )

Sorry to here that the CBD you need didn’t pan out , but always pop more beans than you need as to fall back on plan B.

Good luck and happy growing . Keep us posted.

@Budzbuddha Thanks for the info, I'm 100% i followed all that with just a few issues which where resolved asap once detected.
Trying to keep it as simple as possible, hence the automation of dehumidifier and aircon, i would be screwed without it turning on automatically where I live.
I did use good soil mixed with perlite to keep it airy, only had to feed nutrients once i entered flower. I also vegged for 5 weeks under 18/6.

In hindsight I probably shouldn't have done scrog and just left it a lst.

I don't know, you are correct i do have a foxtail on one stem (Photo 4). But do you think other stems and buds look okay? they feel dense to squeeze idk, I was hoping they get abit thicker since i have 3 weeks left.

Any other thoughts on the other bud sites?

Looking at those pics your plant has well over 3 weeks left. Almost all the pistils are white bro. Dont go by what the breeders flowering time says. Its usually always off. Yeah your buds should fatten up man. Also, if thats not a grow tent, make sure there are NO LIGHT LEAKS (light leaking in or out of that grow environment). Your tower heater I see, make sure theres no light thats always on. Same with youre fans etc. Those types of lights (if you have any) can cause the plant to hermi too.
Your feed is spot on.Your leaves are a nice green but not too dark. Some lower leaves are losing the greenness. If that continues to happen I would say water until 20% runoff. This helps remove salt build up that can cause a nutrient lock out. Your temps are and humidity are ok. Also 80% humidity is not good. Mold is not a result of high humidity, lack of enough air circulation is what causes the mold to happen. Hope that helps. Wait how far is the light from the highest bud?

I will say the buds are growing uniformly... so far so good . Good sugar on them . Not familar with strain but sounds like a med plant more than high plant. Either way they look pretty good .

Stay the course ... the RAILS are nicely frosted.
They should bulk up abit more , pistil color darken and recede. Keep loupe handy to check the buds ... not just one but all over to better judge where they AVERAGE.

I would START another set if possible .... so after a few weeks to finish this one and by then the next run is vegging and getting close to flip later.

Keep the train growing so your meds are perpetuating. Looking good.

I decided to flush the plant and tested the runoff, PH of the runoff was 6.8 a little high for soil, The e.c of the runoff was 1.1 or 550ppm.

I let it dry overnight and feed the next day with a ph of 6.2 and with my normal flowering and bud nutrients but added a nitrogen (N) based nutrient to help stop leaves from yellowing. Also foliage fed (N) on the leaves to help that too.

@Thegermling As for the light distance the 600w and 300w are 7" away from the tallest buds. Hope this helps.

@tyke1973 Thanks, I have been doing your recommendations to a T, is this a confirmed strategy? lol.

That right there has caused some of my plants to hermi but I was around 16 inches I cant imagine 7 inches. Thats the issue man. Raise those lights bro to around 18. Im surpised you havent cooked some bud or bleached it.

@Thegermling Thanks for your advice, I have LST them down but I wont get anywhere near 18" due to the cabinet height. However interestingly enough you mentioned that your "surprised I haven't cooked some bud or bleached it." I noticed on the top of my buds they started looking bleached or albino, however the rest of my plant showed no signs of light stress, I used 2 lux meters under the 2 closest buds to the lights the readings where between 50,000 to 65,000 on 1 meter and the other one was between 60,000 to 80,000. Both are in the acceptable light range for flowering.

I ended up coming across this threads and others like it (View Photos), calling this white tip 'hash tips', interestingly enough it is only produced by certain LED spectrum. The white tips do look healthy with trichome production as normal. Some say it produces more THC others say its light bleaching still and damages the plants potency. I guess we will just find out.

I can tell you from experience it affects potency and terpenes, negatively
