if the stalk will still bend, sure, bend her over. The inner branches will love you for it. Don't crease the stem, just bend her over and tie her down. I used to cut up coat hangers and use them as hooks to stake in the soil.

a little tip do it afterwatering and make sore you pinch the stem lightly so it flex'z alittle

I've trained a month into flower, thick woody stems. As rambler said, if it'll bend it'll train.

Are those the plants you're training boiboi? They are very young, my plants are usually bigger when I train - the stem will virtually stop growing when bent horizontal. We need to veg to the stem length we want, then the branches become the meristems.

There's an LST pictorial in post 8 of this thread, first page:

"i just tried to lst and split the stem a lil should i unbend it?"

Yes.

You can repair the damage by holding the split back in place with masking tape or a band aide.

"oh by the way do u think i have enough lights in the box?"

I don't know much about CFLs, try the CFL forum linked below. There should be an FAQ that covers needed light with compact floros, if not there will be someone knowledgable to answer any questions:

I don't fim, I need only two stems with my growing style, so my advice might not be correct. Find the base of the new shoot and clip about half way up the main growth of the meristem.

You can also double or triple top for more colas - top the branches once they become the main stems (meristems).

Bending the stem flat will make all of the branches grow up like small plants from a hydro line. You could end up with 38 colas instead of 4 or 8.

I have a plant that is about one foot tall and is topped. It is one week into flower and the runt of the bunch. Also, it's purple kush and hasn't been stretchin much so at this point im assuming training isn't worth it?

.

Not at a foot tall Dank, it's short enough for HID light to get to all areas of the plant. Topping will reduce yield, Kush plants can be short - I've got a Bubba Kush and Kushberry that have been vegging twice the time of White Russian, Chocolope, etc. slow stem growth that won't recover topping.

Ya I'm glad I didn't top them all and just one of them. I just took my first clones ever but I dunno if they are going to root as I have them just in a cup of water with a drop of superthrive. No humidity dome because my groom has a high 70% humidity as is...

always saw discriptions and pics of bending, not till i got baked and read this thread did i get it, im definetly doing this when i get home
