Week 1 of flower too late for trellis?

Jonny screwed the pooch and it's not even week 2 of flower yet. I grew a plant too tall and the flower sites are within 12" of my 660w qb. I'm thinking about dropping a trellis over top to bring her down 6" or so. I have no experience using trellis so I don't know if the flower sites have enough vegetative growth in them to grow though the trellis mesh. I'll snap pics later. Think it will work or figure something else out? I can tie the individual branches back down but that would be a very labor intensive bitch of a job.

1 week into flower you can take clones and start over easily or chop her down to size and net her if you wish. I've done that in flower. Hell I cut the main cola at week 5. You probably don't want to do that.

Ya know what is a real trip is I've hacked this thing down 3 times if I remember right. She just winks and smiles back at me. Bushes back out like I never did anything to it in 7 days. When the lights come on I'll get a better look at the canopy but I might just have to take those flower sites down by way of scissors. I figure she's still got another 2 1/2 weeks of vegetative push left in her so she should bush back out. I hope :)

I'm sorry to hear you had to take a main cola down like that. I drop f bombs when I accidentally pick off an emerging flower site as I'm defoliating. I can't imagine how pissed off I'd be having to cut a frosty cola down in week 5 of flower. That's a tough pill to swallow but I'm sure you learned from that experience and it probably will never happen to you again. I hope :)

supercrop her make sure you are careful and put tape over the bend she will heal up i just did the same exact thing last run and got a decent harvest also get a stake and support the top after you bend her over

Actually I have quite the temper and that plant fucked up one time too many for my liking. I'm sure I'll chop another main cola before this journey ends. By the time I'm 5-6 weeks in flower I'm looking forward to ending their lives.

Edited to add: they are extremely resilient throughout their lives. Don't hesitate to do what you feel you need to or want to experiment to learn. The worst that happens is you don't do that next time. Best wishes on this.

That's what I'm talking about! I never even considered super cropping them, but you're on point. That's a nice easy solution. Good action sir.

You've got an awesome perspective on the learning process. Every mistake is a learning experience. Don't get too upset. Plow forward.

make sure you use tape to seal them and stake them until it heals i did not and it hampered my grow maybe rub honey around the wound then tape

I supercropped her twice you can see the knuckles. I did not wrap them, potentially trapping in moisture, or rub with honey (potential insect attractant).

This.

And yes to the honey.

Don't give up. Supercrop it and let'er ride!
