Weed, Mason Jar, botulism?

I've heard that if you don't can food properly people can die from botulism by eating it. Can this also happen when storing some bud in a mason jar over a long period of time?

I really doubt it. I think it happens with some foods within a certain PH range (probably other specific conditions are needed), also I don't think weed would ever be moist enough. Then, even if it did happen, could you get it through smoking? Doubt it.

Botulism ...no. Powdery mildew, Botrytis, Downey Mildew...if the buds are too wet and left in the jar enclosed for too long...yes. I would worry more about mold.

Besides, if I remember right...you get botulism when you leave open tuna (or similar foods) in the fridge in their metal container. That's one way to grow a botulism culture anyway...
