Weak lower stems

I messed up early after sprouting leaving the very bottom of the stems weak. They have all recovered and are growing but a couple of plants still have this inherent problem. This isn't a problem at the moment but once they start budding and getting heavy, I'm afraid they'll collapse. What is the best way of remedying this? I've buried the weak bits under earth to support them for the time being.

supercropping strengthened my stem up quite a good deal. I'm fairly new to growing so I'm just following advice I got and don't really know all that supercropping is for but maybe it'll help for you.
