Basically I havnt checked temps yet but I can already tell it's 90+ in the flower room plants are starting to look abused I'm looking for a cheapish way to fix this
Problem I can hook up exhaust but my hood isn't cooled it's just a wing. Is there anything that I could do as far as maybe an ac or something my flower room is a closet which the door must be shut most of the time

I run 2x600hps with 2x big kahuna hoods. both are ac cooled with 2x6" 440cfm fans. I still have an 18" fan that blows on the glass of the hoods to help keep the hot spot at bay. I also run a portable 8000btu a/c system as well. temps are 75* lights on, 75* lights off (+/-2*).

adding silica can help in hot temps. I used it a lot before I got my a/c system and seemed to help a bit.

door vent.jpg air intake at the bottom of the door, exhaust out the top, 2 small fans to help this process

How are you exhausting at the moment?

If you aren't exhausting an HID light then all you'll accomplish is to create an easy bake oven.

yeah im not exhausting anything right now... i need to get a hole cut in my ceiling for the ducting..

What's stopping you?

It takes at most an hour including measuring and making sure you are between joists.

Use duct flanges on each side to connect your ducting to.

But a hole on its own won't do very much.

You'll need a good inline fan.

I have t once used a jigsaw to cut a hole in a ceiling.

I used a dry wall hole saw.

Its a little hand saw about 8" in total.

yeah i dont have one of those either lol, just borrowed a jig saw from a buddy. plan on cutting that hole today. my seedlings are starting to fold up. like the leafs are folding in half on one another -.- the big plants look fine tho.
