Watering?

I left for a couple days. Before I left I was going to water and feed but the soil seemed moist enough so I decided to wait until we come back.

Come back plants were wilted down. So I went ahead and waterd and fed them. They only took half as much as they usually do.

I wasn't going to water them today but everything said dry. They took what they normally do. 5 plants 2 gallons.

White Nightmare, Fox Fire Happy Frog soil, 5 gallon Fiber Pots, they are Budding. Been feeding Molasses every watering and Fox Fire Big Bloom once a week. Thinking of just going with Molasses and Big Bloom once a week.

You learned that if you're leaving for a day or a few and even if the soil seems like it has at least some moisture, maybe it's just best to give 'em some water to hold them over.

That is kind of what I'm thinking. We left for two weeks last year and I had a friend watering but my Son didn't. He said his did just fine.

Oh I always have questions just don't know how to write them out sometimes.

My water/feed cycle is usually 4 days in 5g bags with Promix HP...So when I'm coming up on something where I'm away for that amount of time, I try to plan my schedule ahead by a few waterings and push around my schedule a little bit if needed so I can water/feed the day I'm leaving.

Otherwise if I don't do that, if the soil still has moisture, but not a ton, I'll water upon leaving, but maybe not to the same volume as I would otherwise (since the soil already has some water in it). That's worked just fine.

After them drying out like that, I’d add some microbes to the water. Maybe even sit them in a clean saucer & fill it with water to soak it up before I pour up top. The water will flow right thru parts of the soil (for the most part) when they get that dry.
It happens to my solo cups all the time. I can’t get to em like I need to. Won’t transplant due to limited space. Can’t have em blowin up.

edit:be cautions of dried salt build up. Maybe get some decent run off before feeding again.

If you only plan to feed molasses and big bloom your plants will be missing some nutes and they will show you sooner than later.

When I used fox farms I fed every other watering and between 50-75% the strength they suggest on their soil feeding chart.

I fed the ff trio line and toward the end of flower I added molasses.

??? My understanding is Big Bloom towards the end.

OK I reread the bottle. It says to use every other feeding to quit using Tiger Bloom.

I always suggest checking their feeding schedule (their bottles do not always say the same thing for whatever reason). Also most people who use ff find that starting at 50% of the strength they suggest is safer to avoid burning your plants.

See the bottle says 4 Tablespoons per gallon of water. Says it is safe enough to use all through the grow.

Tablespoons? Do not do that. I think if anything maybe is says teaspoons? 4tbsp would be double to triple the suggested amount on their charts and ppl have burned their plants using the charts full strength

Obviously you can do as you please but I can tell you from experience it’s very easy to burn your plants with the trio
