how often should i water my plant during the flowering stage, also how often should i give it ferts. thanks by the way im in about week 4 of flowering and have been giving it about a 15 oz of water day with nutes. now today when i went to check on it the leaves are drying up on here in some spots? im not sure if im watering it to much and giving it to much fert? i also think that my ph is off but i dont have a ph tester and having been worried about the ph levels untill now, when the leafs are starting to dry up on me? please help

your growing in soil right??your watering and feeding way too much,,when flowering i give nutes every other watering about 3quarter strength,,,you should only water if the pot feels light and the soils dry about 2-3 inches down,,helps the roots breath when the soils dry and keeps ya roots healthy which usually means healthy plant,,,,if you over water and feed you suffocate the roots and burn ya plant...peace

yeah im using soil, so ok i quit watering and giving fert so often, but the leaves have started drying up and curling on me to the point where if you touch certain leaves they will break off. at this point what can i do to get it back on track, im guessing the ph is to high? do i need to add vinegar to it, and if so how much? thanks

Without pictures it's hard to tell, but keep in mind some degree of yellowing and drying of the larger fan leaves is normal once you get a few weeks into flowering

yeah but its drying on more then just the fan leaves, its on some of the other ones to, im goin to try and get pics up tonite, but im almost positive that the ph is off and there is a salt build up due to me over feeding and watering. i would like to know what i have to do to get the ph levels down? i know vinegar but how much? and do i mix it with water?

hey, im having similair problems with my plants lower leaves have brown tips and yellow spots. i just put them into the flowering stage but it still is getting worse. ill try and get some pics up later today.. Really need some help, this is my first time growing.
im using Miracle Gro moisture control soil. i have the humidity is around 50-70% and have a big fan creating good air. temp is around 21 celcius, im using natural spring water. For ferts i used Miracle Gro Shake N Feed (19-6-12) and Jobe's Plant food Spikes (13-4-5), but havent gave them any in a few weeks
For lightin i just have 2- two foot warm white lights and a flourescent tube light i found in my garage.
any help will be great.

you water when it dries up. in soil, i'd suggest feeding once a week, watering with plain ph'd water between feedings. all crispy/crunchy leaves can be cut off. once they go, they don't come back. sounds like you've been feeding too much and burned your plants. this is what's probably causing your leaves the get spotty/crunchy. gotta get your ph (6.5 in soil) in check and start feeding properly. also sounds like a flush is in order.

ya, i cut off all the cruspy/ crunchy leaves, but now the healthy ones are curling up and turning brown. as well i have cut them off off ferts.... im planning to do a flush tonight, but am unsure how to do it properly, i have heard you can do a flush with the right temperature tap water, is this right? Also, should i air the soil a bit after, so the roots get more air? still trying to get photos up

Damage is done. But fret not this has happened to me a couple of times.

First of all FLUSH NOW!. Use the search feature in the forum or go to the FAQ's and it will tell you how to do it there. But your'e ont he right track.

Next is to make sure the holes on the bottom of your pots are not sitting directly on the ground to make sure excess water drips out and air to come in and dry it.

I fert 1/4 strength every other watering, for 3 waters (about 3-6 days in between watering for me depending on the humidity) the 1/2 strength for 3 waterings then 3/4 until 2 weeks before I think the plant is coming down (check the FAQ's loadsa info about how to check on your Triches and estimate when it's gonna come down). And that 's it.

As for the leaves I used to cut them down, the brown dried up ones, but I read to never cut down fan leaves for some reason, so I dont anymore I use the "tuck" method which means you tuck that leaf under a health leaf or bud under it. Remeber the leaves are telling you how th eplant is doing, also found int he FAQ's.

Good luck!

These are two different plants, but they are easy to tell apart.:weed:

ya i was thinkin there not the best... hopefully they will pick up when i get things figured out., also a random question. Can u get more than one crop off a plant?

hey, still having problems with that plant, it looks worse. the leaves are more brown and dry and curling up.... its now into the 4th week of flouring i think. on a 12-12, 1/4 ferts with 3/4 water, and only adding ferts every 4 days... one of my other plants is starting to have dry yellow leaves. it is only in its first week of flowering... i have flushed them both fairly well i think... i will try and get pics up soon

u should get u a fish tank ph test kit cheap and easy way to keep your ph right, so u wont have to guess anymore

the first two pictures is the plant that is week 4 and the last picture is of the one in week 1.:bigjoint:
