No, Home Depot buckets are not approved for growing in. You would have to paint them.I have a handful of white buckets...the only downside is they dry out faster then the others. What about orange buckets? is that ok?![]()

The plant dosent nessesarily need to be sprayed. Most of the indoor growers usually donot do that and the outdoor growers would love not to have to worry about rain water on their plants.
Also try and get dark buckets..
And please donot paint them!
